About

I’m Gemma, a broadcast journalist having just graduated with an MA in Broadcast Journalism City, University of London. This year, I have worked to develop strong skills in script writing, video and audio production, on-air presentation, live studio production, and newsgathering. I have gained experience in producing content across platforms, conducting interviews, and working under tight deadlines - experiencing a ‘mock’ newsroom weekly at City.
Prior to studying at City, I gained experience that developed my interest in broadcast and journalistic enquiry throughout my education and working career; studying a Liberal Arts BA at the University of Nottingham; hosting a student radio breakfast show; volunteering at my local hospital radio station; gaining work experience at an IP infringement firm, and working as a production assistant on reality TV show Married at First Sight for CPL Productions Ltd. Please see my LinkedIn below for more details on my previous experience.
While at City, I have engaged with placements in Broadcast Journalism. I am now excited to call myself a BJTC-accredited journalist seeking employment.
